MICHLUG AT THE LIVONIA LIBRARY SUMMER KIDS PROGRAM IN LIVONIA MICHIGAN JUNE 29^th & 30th 2010

I am in charge of the LEGO show in the Livonia library again this year. Last year we did three shows at three different Libraries all in one day, setting up and then tearing down for the next one and then setting up and tearing down again three times. The Shows this year had to be divided into two days because the Libraries are not all open every day now. Michele and I set up the first show at Livonia Sandburg Library in the morning and did the show by ourselves. The crowd was not quite as large as last year but still good for the size of the room. After that show ended we took all the stuff down by ourselves and moved it to the Civic center Library and set that show up by ourselves, with some help of a possible new member. Chris had the inspection for his house and had to be home for that. We did the Civic Center show on the stage in the auditorium and that proved to be great for the program part of the show but was a little bit hectic when the crowd gathered around the layout.  We had a table with MOC’s on it along the edge of the stage so no one would fall off the stage. Both shows went very well and most of the stuff went in my car after the show ended. The next morning Chris was there to help and we set up at Nobel Library and had two future members help set up the show. Chris changed the layout from my design and made it bigger and we almost didn’t have enough time to set it up. This show went very well except while setting up the tables I got my toe nail busted off (not a good idea to wear sandals while moving tables). The crowds were down at all three shows compared to last year but still very good turnout of kids. We packed up the stuff in my truck when the show was over because Chris was going to do a show in Canton the next weekend and I told him that I would pull the trailer and help set up the tables.
