Briefing:

This meeting was in Spencer Rezkalla's lovely carpeted basement. There was quite a bit of room and we managed to use almost all of it. Spencer, Ken, and Chris have been plotting, err... building a very nice layout down there and the street lights, mailboxes, and fire hydrants really stood out. Also the town was decorated with a whole line of 6 wide vehicles by Spencer. (I believe.) This layout is still under construction and as such, no pictures are public yet.

Ken was working on a facade for his version of the rowhouses that allowed him to see color combinations before ordering parts. Jason brought a bunch of pirate cutters, class 2 pirate ships, some rocks, and misc scenery which had obviously been slapped together in just a few days. Larry and Nik also brought a few ships. All those piratey things had been brought with the idea of running Evil Stevie's Pirate Game. After the business portion of the meeting concluded, Jason asked for people interested in playing. David, Nik, Larry, Peter, & Kai all took him up on that offer. This was Jason's first time running this game and so was a little shaky at first, but once things got rolling he seemed to get the hang of it. Everyone seemed to have a really good time and this game will likely make appearances at other meetings. For those members who choose not to play there was much commotion with 4 spot lights and camera tripods and much picture taking of the basement layout. Once they finished that, Amy and Chris in particular took up spots as spectators and it was mentioned that watching the Pirate Game was much more interesting than watching a draft.
