MichLUG Meeting Wrap-Up – October 2nd, 2004

Briefing:

Rick was technically the first to arrive at 8:30pm Friday night, having staffed an all-night youth party at the church, but that's a different story. The second person to arrive was Jim Garrett followed closely by Greg Kramer around 12:15pm.

Greg had picked up a few of the 4679 tubs on sale at Toys 'R' Us along with the extra 500 pieces. Some of which were sold to Jim and Rick quite quickly.

Purple Dave was the next to show up. He had a Futurama MOC, but no pictures were taken as no one brought a camera.

Rick and Dave went over some questions regarding upcoming shows from both Jim and Greg, some of which that came up was Cantigny, Festival of Trees, and Novi Toy and Hobby Expo, all of which raised intrest from the other two. Greg was particularly interested in FoT and NTHE. Jim asked questions on if his building when completed could be in the layout, and we explained the structure of how we figure out items such as that. We also invited both of them to come back out for a larger November meeting, where hopefully people would show up.

The meeting was relativly wrapped up by 2:30pm, with Greg asking about nearby TRU's, and if anyone wanted to join him for a raid. (Rick gave permission to raid since he hadn't got out there for the sale yet. :) ). All of us had our respective time frames although, Dave had to drive to Detroit, Rick wanted sleep, etc.
