This is our second year at the Southeastern Michigan Model Train show. It was held at the old Saline fairgrounds. The event was held in three separate buildings, two for dealers and one just for layouts. Along with our layout there were two HO scale layouts.
Lester and Chris stopped by the layout building the night before and setup our tables to give us a head start on setup the next morning. Sunday morning's setup went well and we were ready for show opening in short order.
This was Jim's first chance to participate in a show, and Justin's second. Jim premiered his first creation, an Art Museum. Justin and Lester were able to bring creations to fill the rest of the layout. We did this show at the same time as Festival of Trees so with Justin's large collection of town buildings we were able to do a nice layout.
Teardown went well. We were done in about an hour or so. Most of the crew went home while Chris dropped his stuff off at home and hightailed it to help teardown/collect his stuff from FOT. They were quite pleased with our layout and invited us back again in 2005.
