I've been collecting Lego for as long as I can remember- never wanted anything else from Santa Claus :o)

I started as a space collector with no interest in anything else and subsequently missed out on the glory days of Town, Paradisa, etc. I found a fire truck with a huge ladder that I HAD to have about 5 years ago and have been working on a town layout ever since.

The layout consists of many different sections which I pull out and work on one at a time each of which pretty easily takes up 150+ square feet. Major sections include an Old Historic Downtown Area, a "Midtown Area" (Gas stations, etc.), A Lake, Airport, Freight Yard, Museum Complex, Racing/Sports Center, "NASA" Center, etc.

I've never put this all together at once, but imagine it would be over 1000 sq. ft. My long term goal is not only to complete the outsides, but to detail the insides as well (which I've successfully done with my most recent project- The Airport.)

I have been a member since March 10th, 2004.

Current Projects

My most current project is a large airport...two minifg stories high. So far the complex covers an area of large gray baseplates 4x10 (40 baseplates). Currently I've completed the main terminal as well as two gate areas, the tower and a parking garage. (Of course airplanes and support vehicles). I still need to add a few service bulidings, a "people mover" type shuttle, and runways.
